Shoe Glossary

Booties - resembles a boot in style but is not as much of a shoe.
Shoes - covers the entire foot and extends to the anklebone height of the boots or thigh.
Brogue - a huge Oxford style shoe featuring perforated details.
Canvas - A closely woven, heavy cotton fabrics, hemp, or linen.
Frame - boot / bootie shaft near the top of a boot taken at the widest part / bootie measurement around the shaft.
Stop - a closed toe with a platform sole, open back shoe. Traditionally with a wooden heel
Clutch - A lease with a narrow, handheld bag.
Colorblocking - strategically placed on a shoe, contradictory, yet, complimentary clear and bright color.
Combat boots - originally designed for military multipurpose shoe lace

Cowboy boots - a chunky, with moderately high sloping heel boot, usually pointed toe and decorative stitching or tooling, extending to mid-calf.

Crepe - used in shoe soles, a natural rubber with a crinkled texture.
